Objective of the event
To examine surgical specimens & cytological preparations. Interpret morphological changes of diseases in correlation to clinical manifestations, and lab investigations of diseases. Acquire the ability to identify & find appropriate solutions to medical problems.
Details of the event
SMIMER COLLEGE & SMIMER blood bank and central laboratory visit was successfully conducted by Dr.Vipul shastri ( HOD of Department of pathology ) & Dr. Radha mangukiya assistant professor & assistant professor of FMT Dr. Unnati patel 14/07/2023 at 10.00 am 3.00 pm . Under the guidance of all the department of HOD & Dr.Nikunj, Dr.Hasit sir,& all blood bank & central laboratory technicqucian for the support & sharing knowledge with students. We entered smimer pathology museum by following all the rules & regulations of museum. Many pathological specimens, models, photographs & histological examination of pathological slide preparation in lab. Sir explained everything in descriptive manner which enhanced the knowledge of our students. It was organized
to involve the students into learning the art of imparting knowledge through understanding. It was organized to enhance their knowledge.
Outcome of the Event
Knowledge of alteration in gross &cellular morphology of organs in disease states. Diagnosis routine histopathology & cytopathology cases & microbiology like culture of bacteriology, virology ,parasitological examination &as well as blood banking& various tests of laboratory medicine(clinical pathology).
