Biomedical waste management is significant to defend the environment and health of the population. Inadequate management of waste produced in health care facilities causes a direct health hazard on the general public, the health care workers and on the environment.
Objective
- To create awareness about Bio-medical waste management.
- To introduce colour coding of bags.
- To know which type of waste , we should throw in which colour of bag.
Details of the Program
On 30th September, Friday students of 4th year BHMS gave the seminar about Bio-medical waste management.
Their topic was as mentioned below:
- CHINTAN KACHA – INTRODUCTION, HAND HYGIENE, IMPORTANCE OF BLACK BAG
- MANSURI ATIKABANU – IMPORTANCE OF GREEN BAG
- VIVEK NAGULA – IMPORTANCE OF RED & YELLOW BAG
- SANKET MODI – IMPORTANCEOF BLUE BAG & PUNCTURE PROOF CAN
Students of 1st & 2nd year attended seminar very enthusiastically.
